Despite the excitement at its announcement, the remake of the first Dead Space ultimately showed little. However, the communication of Electronic Arts could accelerate, since the exit of the title would not be finally so distant.

An article published on Collider gives us some indications on the direction that the game developed by the teams at EA Motive will take. So this next-gen Dead Space was built from the ground up. Indeed, if design documents from the first episode are used, the Canadian studio specifies that elements included in the 2008 game will be removed because they “would no longer work” today. In addition, like a God of War (2018), the adventure would take the form of an uninterrupted sequence shot, and therefore without any loading time.

The horror back next year?

Now, place to the rumors relayed by the site VentureBeat. According to the latter, Electronic Arts would plan to release Dead Space during the fiscal year which will end on March 31, 2023. If we refer to the habits of the American publisher, the launch of such an important title could therefore take place at the end of 2022. Finally, still according to these indiscretions, EA will communicate on the remake before the end of this year 2021.

Dead Space is expected on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will use the Frostbite engine and will feature significant graphical improvements as well as optimized gameplay.
