Days Gone: after the rejection of a sequel by Sony, the fans launch a petition

Sony, unconvinced of the pitch of the sequel to Days Gone, and surely cooled by the recipes and the mixed critical reception of the first episode, decided not to renew the project. However, fans don't hear it that way.

A sad disappointment for Bend Studio which, last December, lost Jeff Ross and John Garvin, respectively director and creative director of the game. This carnage continued with another wave of departures, on the side of employees this time.

Unwavering support

Recently, John Garvin did not hesitate to point out the hypocrisy of certain reactions from players who, according to him, would not have made the effort to support the game from its launch. Implied, who would not have paid the full price and would not have allowed the studio to accumulate the funds necessary for a sequel.

However, the recent statements of Ross and Garvin have awakened the enthusiasm of the players. Indeed, a large part of the fans of the first hour have since filed a petition to oppose Sony's decision, believing that the publisher had no right to terminate the license. Even more so when its first episode ends with an open ending.

Currently, the petition has over 53 signatures. Even if this action is unlikely to influence Sony's decision, the initiative warms the heart of Jeff Ross, who infinitely thanks the players for the love shown to the license and who admits himself not knowing where everything it will lead.

A very agitated news for Days Gone, which is preparing to land on PC on May 18 and which is currently free as part of the Playstation Plus program for the month of April.
