Activision Blizzard has a lot to do at the moment between allegations of harassment and the recent launch of communication around the next opus, Call of Duty: Vanguard. Except that the company must face another recurring problem on its battle royale, Warzone, namely the exponential phenomenon of cheaters.

Since the launch of the game, numerous articles have listed the sanctions put in place by Activision while the company has been honing its discourse, and has done so for months by announcing that it would take ever more measures against these practices. .

The months go by and look alike for Raven Software, the studio that works on Call of Duty: Warzone, about cheating enthusiasts in the battle royale. So much so that since its launch, more than 500 accounts have been banned for cheating.

For this month of August 2021 alone, Raven Software had announced sanctions against 50 accounts in the space of ten days, but this is an even more impressive figure than the studio recently communicated. .

So, in the space of a single day, Raven Software reveals that its latest attempt to fight cheaters resulted in a wave of bans that targeted over 100 accounts. The situation is increasingly worrying and is pushing Activision to implement an effective and lasting solution.

When announcing Vanguard, the publisher said a new multi-faceted anti-cheat system would be introduced to Warzone alongside the next map, later this year. The initiative is commendable, but the gaming community points to the possibility for cheaters to create new accounts repeatedly.

Using hardware banning is one of Activision's preferred methods. However, there are many cheating programs able to combat these sanctions and allow the players concerned to slip through the cracks, which forced Activision to review its copy by betting on notable improvements.
