Activision plans to monopolize this end of 2021 with its license Call of Duty and does not intend to be walked on by the competition. The development teams have released the roadmap for the next 35 days for the license with key dates. Among them, the release date of the long-awaited new map for Warzone, which is ultimately called Caldera.
On the program, events, farewells, maps, weapons and a brand new anti-cheat that should free players from the tyranny of cheaters.
The Pacific not very peaceful
Activision has therefore published the roadmap to come in an article as heavy as a Call of Duty. Well, we are bad language, because the developers told us that Call of Duty: Vanguard would be 30 to 50% less cumbersome to install than its predecessors, which required at best to delete its entire library of games to be installed, at worst buy a NASA hard drive.
Here are the key dates, including the release of the Caldera map for Warzone, which is located on a Pacific island:
- October 28 (consoles) and November 2 (PC): Vanguard pre-download if you pre-ordered the game;
- November 5: Release of Vanguard and the Ricochet anti-cheat system developed especially for the Call of Duty license. Thus begins the preseason on Vanguard;
- November 18: Operation Flashback on Warzone to celebrate 100 million players and to pay tribute to Verdansk;
- November 30 and December 1: bombs away, a big event that will mark the end of Verdansk. We can expect a hell of a pyrotechnic show before the servers are paused to deploy Caldera;
- December 2: release of the Caldera map on Warzone with a hundred points of interest to discover and start of season 1 on Vanguard, with new maps and new weapons. The Ricochet anti-cheat system will be deployed in Warzone.
With all that, no way to get bored. We just hope that the show of the end of Verdansk will be there, after all these years spent on it trying for the Top 1.
