A look into the future
Thus, we also learned that the next Call of Duty would indeed be a sequel to Modern Warfare launched in 2019. A “new Warzone experience” has also been confirmed. In addition, a brand new engine will be used on these two games. Activision is planning in passing “a massive evolution” of its battle royale with the arrival of a new mode called “sandbox”.
Finally, insider Tom Henderson specifies that four Call of Duty games are in development. This includes the second chapter of Warzone, the main opuses planned for this year and in 2023 but also “something else”. Last December, Henderson mentioned the arrival of a Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
