Battlefield 2042 reveals recommended PC specs

Waiting for a reaction from Activision with the next Call of Duty, Battlefield 2042 is currently the big one FPS of this end of the year. And some players will be able to play it from this month of August via a first demo.

DICE is starting to send invitations by email with some essential information to run the game on PC.

The first tests will begin

From next week, and more precisely from August 12, a first technical playtest will be organized to test the Battlefield 2042 servers. The goal is to ensure their stability before the launch of this new exclusively multiplayer opus in October. This kind of dress rehearsal will take place through six different game sessions that will run until August 15th. And the invitations are starting to arrive in the mailbox of the lucky ones.

In addition to detailing the playtest schedule, DICE has added the configurations required to run Battlefield 2042 on PC. Note that this demo will also be launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Anyway, players who go through a computer will logically follow the technical specifications requested by Electronic Arts to enjoy the game in the best possible conditions.

What configurations to throw yourself on the battlefield?

Without further ado, here are the minimum configuration as well as the recommended configuration for Battlefield 2042. They are subject to change between now and the game's release.


Minimum configuration:

  • Processor: AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i5 6600K
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Video memory: 4 GB
  • Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 560 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • DirectX: 12

Recommended configuration:

  • OS : Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7 4790
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Video memory: 8 GB
  • Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
  • DirectX: 12

Finally, DICE also announced the broadcast of a short film called Exodus. It will lift the veil on the political, climatic and military context of the game through the eyes of a journalist who follows an armed group. It will be posted on August 12 at around 17:00 p.m.



Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
