Battlefield 2042: developers reassure players after the postponement of the game

Last week, Electronic Arts confirmed the postponement of its FPS highly anticipated Battlefield 2042. And while the release date was only pushed back a handful of weeks, some players were starting to worry about the current state of the game…

Initially scheduled for a launch on October 22 on all media, the next Battlefield will ultimately be desired until November 19, 2021. Indeed, development has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the teams of DICE need more time in order to polish their copy. So should we worry about the final quality of the title?

On Twitter, Jim Hejl, a developer working on Battlefield 2042, took the time to reassure everyone.

Hi, I really appreciate the support from the community regarding the new dates of (Battlefield) 2042. Your trust makes us feel good.


And you do well to trust us. It's a very solid game. It's not my first rodeo. The project is not in difficulty. He just needs a little more time.
