Available in early access for a few days and officially released today, Back 4 Blood offers a single player mode which did not convince budding Cleaners.

Indeed, beyond a good first step to start, as we indicate in our survival guide, this one does not make it possible to recover the famous supply points essential to progress well in the campaign in cooperation. Following a lot of negative feedback about it, Turtle Rock Studios intends to revamp this part of its new cooperative FPS.

Mutation of single player mode

Veterans of Turtle Rock games like the excellent Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 know, the latter are mainly enjoyed in groups, and especially between friends. If it was possible to play solo accompanied by bots, this was not their primary goal. Back 4 Blood also has a single player mode, but which is otherwise dispensable.

Indeed, the new Turtle Rock title relies on a deck system to strengthen its character in order to try its luck in cooperation in the higher difficulty modes, where the Left 4 Dead simply required skill and coordination. 'crew. However, unlocking these cards requires supply points to be spent in supply chains.

For now, this is only possible by playing the campaign in co-op or multiplayer, making the single-player mode pretty much obsolete. However, Turtle Rock has indicated via its Twitter account that it is working on a more satisfactory formula for the latter.

While waiting for fellow Cleaners to join you, you can try your luck via Back 4 Blood public cross-play matchmaking on all platforms, namely PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass .
