Players who roam the heart of ancient Greece assassinating their targets will soon have the ability to do so with maximum fluidity. In effect, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is about to receive a patch that will improve its performance on next-gen consoles.

Almost three years after its initial release, Assassin's Creed Odyssey remains a much-played and beloved installment in Ubisoft's franchise. If, at the present time, the title no longer receives new content (since development efforts are allocated to Valhalla), it will receive a 1.6.0 patch in a few hours which is far from trivial!

Thus, Ubisoft informs us that the patch in question will be put online from this Tuesday, August 24, 2021 around 8 a.m., Paris time. By downloading it, players will be able to experience Assassin's Creed Odyssey with a framerate of 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is important to note that the game uses backward compatibility to run on next-gen consoles.

The update will be 470MB on PlayStation and 370MB on Xbox. The improved framerate is the only new feature brought by this version 1.6.0 of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
