Apex Legends: the PS5 and Xbox Series upgrade is coming

Already mentioned last January, l'upgrade « next-gen Â» d'Apex Legends finally came true. Indeed, Respawn Entertainment has just formalized its deployment around the world in the coming hours.

The multiplayer FPS published by Electronic Arts recently celebrated its third anniversary. And as much to say that the community will have something to do in Apex Legends over the next two years. A major leak has even lifted the veil on the content that will land in the game over the next few months. But today, it is rather the immediate future of the title that will interest us.



Legend versions?

It is therefore this Tuesday, March 29 that the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S optimization will be deployed for Apex Legends. Among the improvements for the three consoles, we note the 60 FPS or the HDR functionality. However, native 4K, improved map shadows, and better draw distance are things only for PS5 and Xbox Series X gamers.

Visual and sound improvements or even the possibility of playing in 120 FPS will arrive via a future update on the three machines. This will also be the case for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for the DualSense on PS5. Note that this PS5 version of Apex Legends will need to be downloaded manually where the Smart Delivery feature will automatically take care of it on Xbox Series X|S.
