Failing to have news ofAvatars: Frontiers of Pandora, the highly anticipated game from Ubisoft, James Cameron's film will get another adaptation.
Stamped Avatar Reckoning, this new project will be a massively multiplayer game, with a release scheduled for 2022.
An Avatar MMORPG
The film Avatar will be entitled to a new video game adaptation. In parallel with the gargantuan project under construction at Ubisoft, an MMORPG around the universe of the film has been ordered from Archosaur Games. This is a Chinese studio little known in the West, which has nevertheless contributed to several titles, including Jade Dynasty, Saint Seiya Online or World of Kings. He will benefit from the fame of Tencent by joining Level Infinite, its international publishing label.
For the moment the details around Avatar Reckoning are meager. We know that it will be a multiplayer role-playing game, with shooter-oriented gameplay. Players will be able to create and customize their own Na'Vi hero and then go into PvP in cooperative or competitive modes, or on the contrary try the solo mode divided into several missions. The game is slated for 2022 on iOS and Android, but a closed beta is expected by the first quarter of the year, in Canada only.
