Nintendo has taken a new step related to the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The Japanese firm has chosen to delay Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp which was supposed to be released next April.

Already postponed for the first time when it was supposed to be released in December 2021, the compilation that will bring together Advance Wars 1 and 2 on Nintendo Switch was finally due to land on April 8. The remastering of these two extremely appreciated Game Boy Advance opuses was therefore eagerly awaited by the players… But we will have to wait once again!

Waiting for a better time

On Twitter, Nintendo released a short statement to indicate that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will not be released in April. This postponement is due to "international events", that is to say the war in Ukraine. It must be said that the license features military units that clash on a battlefield with missiles, tanks and other weapons that we see only too much now.

Thus, Nintendo has not given a new date, but promises to come back to us “later”. An understandable postponement while waiting for better days…
