Abandoned: a 5-second teaser and technical issues for the PS5 app

It was supposed to be the beginning of an answer to the (many) questions around the game, but in the end it was a missed opportunity. Indeed, the application dedicated to Abandoned encountered technical problems and was therefore unable to broadcast the first video of the title.

A simple independent game with daring communication or a real secret project that makes players languish? The nature of Abandoned remains a great mystery. While the title from Blue Box Game Studios was supposed to come to us this Tuesday, August 10 at 21 p.m. via its app on PS5, the big reveal was finally canceled.

Like a feeling of abandon(ed)

On Twitter, Blue Box Game Studios said it encountered a technical issue preventing the deployment of the patch for the Abandoned app. And if the creators of the game have promised to speak again when the problem is solved, radio silence has remained since last night. Enough to revive the craziest theories, especially following the posting of a short video on social networks.


The camera in this 5 second extract is fixed on a floor before a man crosses the screen. Impossible to recognize the character in question since we can only see the legs of the latter. But by focusing on his clothes, players think they recognize James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2. We just have to wait for an explanation from Blue Box Game Studios…
