American fans of World of Warcraft questioned Blizzard about the helmet design from the new Warlock set coming in patch 9.2. The helmet, seen from behind, is very reminiscent of the headdress of members of the Ku Klux Klan, the racist American organization of white supremacists.

Blizzard apologized and announced that they are working on a graphical fix that they will later roll out to the Test Realm with the upcoming 9.2 update.

It didn't take long for the very meticulous World of Warcraft community to notice that the new Warlock set had one small problematic detail. Indeed, if the players of the rest of the world could miss it, it was not possible for the Americans not to recognize in the helmet of the set the hood of the infamous organization of the Ku Klux Klan, in activity in the United States since the second half of the 19th century.

Blizzard developers have spoken out and said they agree with the feedback, apologizing for not reviewing this overall headset from every angle before communicating on it. Changes are already underway on the item and will be delivered with an upcoming patch 9.2 "Eternity's End" update which will be launched on the PTR shortly.

As a reminder, this patch will introduce the new zone Zereth Mortis with its own raid consisting of 11 bosses, equipment and legendary objects, mounts and pets as well as a dance mini-game at the Darkmoon fair, among many other additions.
