A first PC vs PS5 comparison video for God of War

Only a few days after the official announcement of God of War on PC, a first video editing makes it possible to compare the cutscenes of the Sony game on PS5 on one side and Windows on the other.

God of War is set to land on PC on January 14, 2022 and confirm Sony's renewed interest in the PC platform. It will thus join (relatively) recent titles like Death Stranding or Horizon: Zero Dawn, PlayStation exclusives that very few PC players hoped to see land on their platform at the time of their respective announcement.

DLSS and Reflex support

In the case of God of War, it will still have been necessary to wait almost 4 years since the game developed by Santa Monica Studios arrived on PlayStation 4 in April 2018. PS5 compatible since the launch of the latter, note that God of War received a small update on February 2 to better support 60 fps in 4K.

It is this PlayStation 5 version that is used today to oppose the game on console and on PC. The comparative video obviously cannot present gameplay sequences and therefore focuses on the trailer released by Sony when unveiling the game on PC. The differences are subtle, but the PC version seems a little more realistic in its management of lighting in particular… even if we notice some more successful passages on PS5. Of course, it will be appropriate to check all this at the time of the actual release.

Remember that sold for 49,99 euros, God of War PC will come with a few digital bonuses, but will also and above all be an opportunity to support wide screens (21:9) and technologies such as DLSS and Reflex from NVIDIA.
