While a remaster of Chrono cross was released in early April, a fan cracked a recreation on Unreal Engine 5 of the venerable J-RPG released in 1995.

And as much to say that the remaster pales in comparison to the work done by Studio Logic on the impressive fifth iteration of the Epic Games engine, recently accessible to all.

A recreation that leaves you dreaming

As we indicated in our test of the remaster, it turns out to be quite lazy and fails to do justice to the sublime artistic direction of an iconic title released almost thirty years ago. Fortunately, the talented Studio Logic has split its own vision of a remaster in good and due form thanks to the Unreal Engine 5.

In the video above, we can thus see what the village of Arni would look like with the currently most cutting-edge graphics technologies. Those who have played the original game or the remaster will certainly notice the stark difference.

Studio Logic has also appropriated other iconic places and elements of Chrono Cross, such as the sublime Opassa Beach in the video above. To see more of his remarkable work, head over to his YouTube channel, cited in source below.
