Decidedly, the news around Bethesda and Xbox does not weaken. During a round table aimed at shedding light on the takeover, the two companies discussed several subjects, including a very thorny one…

Will the games published by Bethesda be totally exclusive to Xbox? This is the question everyone is asking. Earlier in the week, Phil Spencer, the CEO of the gaming division at Microsoft, had given a first element of response. But during the small improvised conference this Thursday, March 11, the boss of Xbox wanted to clarify his remarks.

A definitively essential Game Pass

Without further ado, let's find out what Phil Spencer said about potential Xbox exclusives for Bethesda games.

“Obviously I can't tell you that all Bethesda games will be exclusive (to Xbox), because we know that's not true. There are contractual obligations that we will study. Some games also exist on other platforms and we will continue to support them […]. But if you're an Xbox customer, I want you to know that this buyout is all about delivering great exclusive games that will be released on media where Game Pass is accessible."

It's pretty clear. Upcoming big games from Bethesda Softworks like The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield are expected to be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem. But titles available elsewhere like Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online will still be supported across all of their releases.
