In view of the arrival of the online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion on consoles, the game offers a free trial weekend and an update.

The opportunity to discover part of a dystopian city of London for free from March 25 to 29 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC (Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect).

The free trial version will open for pre-download today at 17 p.m. (Paris time) on consoles, and from 19 p.m. on PC. It will cover four of London's eight major districts, including the City and Lambeth.


It will be possible to recruit absolutely all the characters you want, and to take advantage of all the open world activities available in the accessible districts during this trial weekend.

On the console versions, the online mode will also be approached for free, in particular allowing you to discover its first game mode, “Tactical Op”. To play in solo mode as in online mode, a connection will be required.

The progress accumulated in both the single-player mode and the online mode will be fully retained, if players subsequently wish to acquire a copy of the game.

Online mode finally rolling out to consoles and a roadmap for what's next

Available since yesterday, only on consoles for now, after multiple postponements, the online mode comes with an update. This still corrects several bugs present both in the single player mode and in the newly arrived online mode.



Regarding the online mode, it introduces a first game mode called
"Tactical Op", featuring up to four playable endgame content and offering five interconnected story missions. Outside of this mode, it is possible to wander the streets of London together for the good of its inhabitants and Dead Sec… or not.

Ubisoft also took the opportunity to share a roadmap up to August. On the program: several new agents to recruit, including Aiden Pearce, the protagonist of the first part. New game modes for the online mode, including two PvP, will appear in May. Watch Dogs: Legion's first paid DLC, called Bloodline, will be released in June. Finally, August will see a crossover event with Ubisoft's other major franchise, Assassin's Creed.
