Announced during the latest PlayStation Showcase, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection returns this week with crucial information. Indeed, we finally discover its release date, but also its pricing policy.

What's new on the horizon?
With the launch of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection scheduled for January 28, 2022, Nathan Drake and his companions will venture not only to PS5, but also (for the very first time) to PC. Note that this latest version will be released at an unknown date next year. It will be an opportunity to relive these extraordinary epics that are Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy with some improvements to the key.
PlayStation 5 players can opt for a fidelity mode that will run both opuses in 4K at 30 FPS. A performance-enhancing mode will achieve the holy grail of 60 FPS. In addition, a third option will be available to us via the performance+ option which will reduce the resolution to 1p to allow the framerate to climb to 080 FPS (on compatible screens).
In terms of new features, note the almost instantaneous loading times, the arrival of spatial 3D audio, but also haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller. On the other hand, the multiplayer mode of the two games has been removed.
The waltz of prices
Regarding the economic policy applied by Sony on Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, it may seem significantly complex. First of all, the collection will be sold at 49,99 euros, in both physical and digital versions. Pre-orders for the latter are already open. But that's not all…
Owners of a PS4 copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and/or Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be able to choose to pay 10 euros in order to obtain the Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5. For example, even if you only own the fourth installment on PlayStation 4, upgrading will give you access to not only its PlayStation 5 equivalent, but also The Lost Legacy.
Last key point, similar to what was done with Final Fantasy VII Remake, the PlayStation Plus version of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is not eligible for the upgrade. Also, this and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy can no longer be purchased separately from PlayStation Store. The only way to get them is by opting for the digital pack (€39,99) which brings together the two titles.
