Yes, Lara Croft will be back "soon". Recently, Crystal Dynamics had abandoned the famous adventurer in favor of Marvel superheroes… But the saga tomb raider will have another chance to shine!

Admittedly, the future of the action-adventure saga has remained uncertain until now. Between a disappointing Shadow of the Tomb Raider signed Eidos Montreal and this real shipwreck that is Marvel's Avengers, we didn't know if Crystal Dynamics was going to be able to lead the development of yet another epic with this dear Lara Croft. But fans of the license were treated to excellent news this week!

A more realistic adventure than ever?

It was during the event dedicated to the Unreal Engine 5 that Dallas Dickinson, the boss of the Tomb Raider brand at Crystal Dynamics, confirmed the production of a new opus. It will obviously use the Epic Games engine to emphasize the realism of the sets, while offering a staging worthy of a blockbuster.

For now, we will have to make do with this meager information. The next Tomb Raider shouldn't show up immediately, since Dickinson has been emphasizing that development has only just begun.
