Originally released in 2015 on PC and old-gen consoles, then on Nintendo Switch with a fairly average port in 2019, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt will also afford an upgrade on PS5 et Xbox Series X This year. Notice to budding Witchers, the wait might not be long.

According to PEGI, the deployment of the free upgrade of The Witcher III on next-gen consoles is imminent.

A release of The Witcher III next-gen for very soon?

If the info is confirmed, it would be the excellent news of the day. While Cyberpunk 2077's next-gen upgrade will be a little longer than expected, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt's should be available soon. According to the European classification organization PEGI, the free upgrade of Geralt's latest adventures will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 19, 2021, i.e. today.

As a precaution, the information relayed by Gematsu remains to be taken with tweezers, since it has no official character, but a listing on the PEGI site generally augurs a formalization in stride. Asked about the issue by our colleagues from GamesRadar, a representative of the Polish studio remained evasive, recalling that it was only a legal procedure and that the date mentioned by PEGI was the one on which the classification had been established. See you in the next few hours to see if CD Projekt RED confirms the information anyway or not.
