The reissue of the excellent Alan Wake is definitely not trivial. Indeed, this remastering, which will be released in a little less than a month, could serve as an appetizer before the next adventures of the writer.

This is not the first time that a hypothetical Alan Wake 2 has been talked about. Last March, GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb already confirmed the existence of the project. And, when Alan Wake Remastered was announced this week, Grubb chose to stick to his guns. According to him, Epic Games, which is funding the next production of Remedy, would have given the green light to the development of a completely new sequel.

However, it is important not to get fired up, since these rumors also specify that the game is only in the planning phase at the moment. So, while waiting for a formal announcement, anything can still happen. According to Grubb, the remastering of the first opus will serve as a booster shot to put the license back in the spotlight.

Anyway, Alan Wake Remastered is expected on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but also on PC on October 5th. It will be playable in 4K at 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X. As for the PC version, it will benefit from an unlimited framerate. In addition, the title will not support ray tracing and HDR technologies.
