The Game Pass on Steam? Valve does not close the door

Obviously, the Game Pass turns heads. While Microsoft's flagship service continues to grow in popularity, Valve has just made a first call for the American giant's flagship...

Indeed, Valve would be interested in the idea of seeing the Game Pass land on Steam… A really conceivable possibility?

Game Pass PC on Steam, maybe a reality

As Sony's Project Spartacus rumors escalate, Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve, gave an interview to the PC Gamer site during which he opened up about online subscription services. If he says he is not interested in the idea of launching his own service, he does not, however, close the door to the idea of hosting the Game Pass PC directly on his launcher, Steam. Here is what he says:

“I don't think it's something that we think we should do ourselves, build a subscription service. But for their customers, it's clearly a popular option and we'd be more than happy to work with them to get it on Steam.”

Gabe Newell indicates that he has already discussed this subject with the Microsoft teams and believes that if a need arises among users, a reflection must be put in place to make this project a reality. And obviously, with the release of the Steam Deck, Valve's brand new portable console, the question of the Game Pass integrated directly into Steam has all the more reason to arise. For his part, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft's gaming section, has already expressed his interest in favor of the Steam Deck. This suggests a first hope of concretization, although nothing is yet acted for the moment.
