Unveiled at the beginning of the year by its creators, The Day Before enjoy today a release date in good and due form: the appointment is made for June 21… next year!
Little known, the FNTASTIC studio was founded in 2015 in Yakutsk, Siberia, and is already at the origin of two projects: Radiant One (2018) and The Wild Eight (2019). However, The Day Before is his most ambitious title. It is a massively multiplayer game whose first announcement dates back to last January.
"Go where no one dares to go"
Today, FNTASTIC is trying to get people talking again by releasing a trailer of just over four minutes. This "official release date trailer" is mainly there to accompany important information, although so distant that it has plenty of time to change: the studio is indeed aiming for a release on June 21, 2022, but does not mention either beta test phase or early access.
The Day Before is, like the studio's previous project The Wild Eight, a survival game. We discover here an America devastated by an epidemic. History of pouring into the most unbridled originality, the disease changes its victims into, you guessed it, zombies. We still only have a very vague idea of ​​the game's content and objectives, but from the trailer, exploration should be a large part of the heroes' activities.
“Heroes”, because the female characters are strangely absent from this trailer, and there is no longer any question of “female” zombies. Not very forthcoming, the FNTASTIC studio nevertheless speaks of "realistic weapons" that it will be possible to modify or repair, and specifies that it will be possible to join colonies of survivors in order "to help society regain its splendor and humanity of yesteryear".
The Day Before is therefore set for June 21 in its PC version. FNTASTIC has the idea of ​​bringing its massively multiplayer game to consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), but does not give any further details on this subject.
