2022, however, remains a more than expected year for fans of the firm with big projects in perspective.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus
For a long time, The Pokémon Company has been criticized for regularly repeating the same formula. With Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it can't be said that no risk is taken.
With its open world and its return to the origins of Pokémon – where it was not yet a question of capturing creatures to fight them in arenas – the title seems to want to explore new horizons.
If he still has to convince on the technical side, we can nevertheless welcome the desire to offer something else to the fans, or at least to try to do so. The wait will also be short-lived, the release being scheduled for January 28.
Bayonetta 3
Announced in 2017 (!), Bayonetta 3 should finally be released in 2022! Platinum Games' new game is long overdue, and the latest gameplay video ensures that the experience is as dynamic and crazy as ever.The very badass witch from Nintendo and Sega takes up arms and powers to overcome dozens of enemies and gigantic bosses for new dazzling clashes. Under these conditions, to say that we simply want to put our hands on the title is a sweet understatement.
Splatoon 3
Surprise announcement from the Nintendo Direct in February 2021, Splatoon 3 is therefore the sequel to one of the console's hits. In its latest gameplay trailer, the game showed off increased character customization, but also what appears to be storyboarding in a devastated world.
The clashes in arenas with a lot of paint are still very present, however, to reassure the fans. Especially since it is one of the few multiplayer games from Nintendo to benefit from its support in the realization of e-sports events. Scheduled for 2022, Splatoon 3 therefore has everything at its disposal to become one of the flagship games in the console catalog.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
Expected for 2022, the sequel to the reboot of Nintendo's iconic franchise has timidly shown the tip of its nose so far. We just got a teaser, then a short gameplay trailer.
There is still no official title for this second episode, which will, however, cover the basics of Breath of the Wild, in particular the world of Hyrule and its different biomes, as well as its enemies, weapons and gameplay possibilities.
But this sequel will also be an opportunity to discover new features that we already know exist: in particular a “glove” that Link will wear, and which will allow him to climb to the heights, or to play with time to face his enemies. Our hero will also have the possibility of moving in the sky, much more in any case than in the previous episode, all in the company of Princess Zelda, now free (but for how long?).
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
We all remember the tears of the development manager of Ubisoft Milan, to whom we owe the first opus, celebrating the arrival of Shigeru Miyamoto on the Ubisoft conference scene in 2017.
If the tears have dried up a little along the way, the passion remains very topical in this sequel to the excellent tactical-RPG of the Nintendo Switch. On the novelty side, in addition to new hero classes (from Nintendo, but also from the Rabbids side), Mario + The Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will offer players to explore the galaxy to save the Sparks, a kind of fusion between Lumas from Mario Galaxy and Rabbits.
A semi-open world will also be there with its share of secondary objectives.

With Nintendo, you are never certain of what you can expect, but this year promises to be rich whether on the side of the independent scene (Hollow Knight Silksong is desired) or on the side of exclusives. Rumors claim that a sequel to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be released this year.
We can also count on other exclusives expected at the turn that are Kirby and the Forgotten World, or Triangle Strategy. The next few months are going to be exciting on Switch.
