Hitherto insistent rumour, the postponement of Suicide Squad : Kill the Justice League has been officially confirmed by Sefton Hill, Creative Director at Rocksteady Studios.

Last month, Bloomberg had advanced the bad news following echoes of sources close to the project. It's now set in stone: the new game from the talented British studio is undergoing a heavy postponement, since there is now talk of a spring 2023 release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Justice League will have to wait

The health situation is another victim in the video game industry, and this time affects our neighbors across the Channel. The studio behind the excellent action-adventure franchise Batman Arkham has made the difficult decision to push back Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League by a big year.

Specifically, it was Sefton Hill, creative director at Rocksteady Studios, who announced the bad news via his personal Twitter account. He takes the opportunity to indicate that this long postponement will serve for the teams to produce the best possible game, even if he understands and shares the frustration of the fans of the DC universe regarding such a significant postponement.

It will therefore take a lot of patience before reconnecting with Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark and Captain Boomerang in their mission to eliminate nothing less than the Justice League, for an adventure as much solo as in cooperation until four players.

Luckily for Warner Bros. Games, Hogwarts Legacy should meanwhile point the tip of its wand at the end of 2022. The publisher is therefore not short of shock releases this year.
