It's another anniversary that will be celebrated this year by a major video game license. This is the fighting game Street Fighter which blows out its 35 candles in 2022. And Capcom could have some little surprises in store for us for the occasion.

In 1987, the first Street Fighter landed on arcade terminals before being ported a year later to the consoles of the time. Over time, Capcom has launched several opuses and countless editions with more or less convincing additions. This did not prevent this iconic saga from marking the gaming industry.

For now, Capcom has been content to show off the Street Fighter 35th anniversary logo. If Capcom's Western Twitter accounts have remained fairly sober, the official account of the license in Japan has been a bit more generous. The latter did not fail to teaser the future projects around the license by asking fans to wait "impatiently for information on the future of Street Fighter".

So, soon six long years after the launch of the fifth opus, could Street Fighter VI finally be announced by Capcom? It is still too early to tell… But what is certain is that the license will be talked about in the coming months.
