Indeed, Valve opened pre-orders a few days ago, and if you weren't an early buyer, then you won't be able to get your hands on the Steam Deck until 2022. indeed to visualize that the (big) portable console is no longer available in 2021.
Thus, for any pre-order placed today, Valve promises availability scheduled for “the first quarter of 2022”, regardless of the model chosen. Note that, on the American store, availability is still different, since the latter is promised for the second quarter for the 64 GB and 256 GB models, and even the third quarter of 2022 for the 512 GB model, i.e. a delivery expected between July and September.
According to various sources, Valve recorded approximately 110 Steam Deck pre-orders (in 000 and 256 GB versions) during the first 512 minutes after reservations opened. Since this Sunday, reservations are open to new Steam accounts, in addition to existing accounts that had a little scoop on pre-orders.
Note that, despite various measures to guard against scalpers on the part of Valve, copies of Steam Deck are already abounding on eBay, at prices averaging around $1.
