A star duo

We knew it even before the broadcast of the State of Play, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is well back on the front of the stage with no less than fifteen minutes of gameplay. The title of Insomniac Games will be released on June 11 next exclusively on PlayStation 5. This new sequence was used in particular to present the character of Rivet, a kind of female โ€œcopyโ€ of the legendary Ratchet in another dimension.

The player will have the opportunity to embody Rivet during certain segments of the game, but it was Ratchet who accompanied us through the streets of the city of Nefarious City. The gameplay has obviously not changed too much with an arsenal that is still as original. Each blow can be felt thanks to the haptic feedback of the DualSense. As for the adaptive triggers, they will come into action when firing a weapon. Then, thanks to the SSD, Ratchet can be teleported almost instantly from one level to another by passing through dimensional cracks.

Rivet also had his way through a lush forest full of life, which should be very immersive thanks to the 3D audio. The Lombax has abilities similar to those of Ratchet with new weapons as a bonus. Our heroes also move by riding a creature to reach a specific location more quickly. In short, the program will be loaded between the exploration of open areas, the photo mode, arena challenges, the collection of gold bolts and much more.
