Starfield will be a more realistic game than Skyrim

Si Starfield has not yet shown itself concretely, some clues are regularly disseminated through the making-of videos posted online by Bethesda Softworks. And the report broadcast this week continues this tradition.

Since Starfield won't be released until fall 2022, it makes sense to see the Bethesda Game Studios teams taking their time with communication. This is why the video entitled "In pursuit of infinity" is content to present us with new artwork, and not gameplay. Several developers, including the famous Todd Howard, also take the opportunity to discuss the ambition behind this new license.

Skyrim, and more

The making-of tells us in particular that Starfield is based on more realistic foundations than those of the legendary fifth opus of The Elder Scrolls franchise. The game will be more "down to earth" while emphasizing exploration. Thus, the mechanics of the world of Starfield will be different despite obvious similarities with those of Skyrim. Particular attention has been paid to small details, and the player will be able to pick up any object during his wanderings.

Of course, Starfield will not be anchored in excessive realism, since the science fiction side will remain predominant. Finally, Todd Howard teases two "exit" moments that will allow the player to discover the Starfield universe at the start of the game. See you on November 11, 2022 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
