This December 20, 2021 marks the tenth anniversary of Star Wars: The Old Republic. To celebrate this great event, Bioware addressed MMO players with a few small announcements.

In a decade, Star Wars: The Old Republic has welcomed millions of players, around 300 different updates and seven expansions to its servers. Remember that the eighth titled Legacy of the Sith was finally postponed to February 2022. But while waiting for this new DLC, MMO producer Keith Kanneg sent a quick note to fans.

A reassuring horizon

Thus, Star Wars: The Old Republic will not rest on its laurels in the weeks and months to come. Already, an annual anniversary event is currently available in-game and will end in January 2023. In terms of content, Bioware promises new stories but also new places to browse. There will be quests to do in both solo and multiplayer. Flashpoints, dailies and additional operations will be included.

But even more strikingly, Star Wars: The Old Republic will undergo a graphic overhaul. The visual quality of planets will be improved. Tython, Korriban, Hutta and Ord Mantell will be the first to benefit from it then others will follow. The interface will also be redesigned to adapt to high-resolution screens and accessibility options will also be available. In short, 2022 will be an exciting year for Bioware's MMO.
