It's automatic: the mere mention of the name Jeff Grub should bring out a nice pair of tweezers. However, the journalist GamesBeat often aims straight. And, as it happens, his new prediction makes sense.

In his latest podcast, Jeff Grubb answers questions from members of his Discord, who ask him in particular about the availability of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 on older consoles.

The beginning of the end for PS4 and Xbox One?

The journalist begins by warning that he must “recheck to be sure”, but that he is “pretty sure” that the sequel to the surprising souls-like released in 2019 will be exclusive to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X| S.

A detail that should certainly frustrate those who are not (or could not jump) on the bandwagon of the new generation of consoles, but which ultimately has nothing extravagant. Electronic Arts is aiming for a 2023 release for its action-RPG, 3 years after the release of the latest consoles from Sony and Microsoft.

Either way, Jeff Grubb is confident when he says "you won't have to wait long [for those details]". The date of May 4 would, according to him, be ruled out, but Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 would indeed be shown during the Star Wars Celebration festival, scheduled for Los Angeles between May 26 and 29.
