After a remarkable presentation at E3 2021, STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl returns to the front of the stage with the confirmation of a physical version. But that's not all since the engine of the title is now known.

The post-apocalyptic universe of the first opus will once again be honored with this sequel taking place in an alternate era. In STALKER 2, the player will find himself in Chernobyl at the heart of a gigantic open world full of dangers. The software developed by GSC Game World will interweave elements of survival, shooting phases and a bit of horror, all playable in first person for an ultra immersive experience.

Dazzling graphics?

If the E3 trailer released last June was greatly appreciated by players, it is undoubtedly for the stunning modeling of this game which will make wonderful use of the performance of new generation consoles. On Twitter, GSC Game World confirmed the use of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5 to create this gloomy and sumptuous universe.

Finally, Koch Media has also formalized the production of physical copies that will be distributed in Europe. The CEO of GSC Game World already promises "several physical editions" to satisfy each player. Anyway, STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl will land on April 28, 2022, on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
