The publisher Square Enix has given us some announcements on Thursday, March 18. This event was an opportunity to discover several titles that will soon arrive on consoles and PC.
And the star of the evening was obviously the next Life is Strange.

A colorful title
Let's start with the big chunk of this Square Enix Presents. We were able to discover Life is Strange: True Colors which will land on PlayStation, Xbox machines as well as PC and Stadia on September 10. The software will focus on a brand new heroine endowed with a power allowing her to feel the emotions of those close to her. In addition, the episodic format has been abandoned for this opus developed by Deck Nine Games.
To capitalize on the success of the license, Square Enix presented Life is Strange: Remastered Collection. When released this fall, the compilation will bring together the first opus and Before the Storm. The graphics will be improved for the occasion.
The second major announcement of the evening comes from Project Athia, a new license imagined by Luminous Productions announced in June 2020 during the event dedicated to the PS5. A cutscene and some snippets of gameplay were shown. We now know the final title of the game which is called Forspoken. The release is expected in 2022 on PS5 and PC.

Square Enix presents its line-up
The "conference" began with a long presentation of Outriders, a new cooperative playable license in which our heavily armed and powerful squad will have to defeat many monsters. Upon release on April 1, 2021, the People Can Fly title will be included in Xbox Game Pass. The demo is downloadable now.
Then, the 25 years of Tomb Raider were quickly brought up with crossovers of Lara Croft in several games, including Fortnite. The Croft Mansion will be coming to Epic Games' title next week. Remember in passing that the Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy pack is available for purchase. It includes Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Finally, Marvel's Avengers returned via gameplay focused on Hawkeye and the announcement of an expansion with Black Panther as the main character. This DLC will be released later in 2021. Also, the free next-gen upgrade for all owners of the game can be downloaded now.

This Square Enix Presents also took stock of the mobile games in development, including a Just Cause and a certain Hitman Sniper Assassins which will be released in 2021. A title in the Space Invaders universe using augmented reality (hello Pokémon Go) has also been presented without further details for the moment. Balan Wonderworld (March 26, 2021) also went there with his short video.
In short, no Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts or new Tomb Raider game tonight. Another Square Enix Presents will air this summer.
