Sony prepares the arrival of the new PS Plus

Things are accelerating on Sony's side. According to the very well informed Jason Schreier, the Japanese brand would prepare a new subscription service that would bring together both PS Plus and PlayStation Now. This rumor is gaining momentum as the publisher's plan appears to be coming to fruition. Sony has indeed asked UK and US retailers to withdraw PS Now gift cards from sale.

According to information from Venturebeat, English stores have indeed received a missive stating that PlayStation Now cards should disappear from the shelves by Friday, January 21, 2022. For Schreier, there is no doubt: Sony is indeed preparing a evolution of the PS Plus, known under the code name "Spartacus". The PS Now services would then be integrated directly into this new offer, so it is logical that the publisher would want to withdraw cards that would become obsolete from the market.
