Solar Ash: a release date for the new project from the creators of Hyper Light Drifter

It didn't take long for Annapurna Interactive to present to us, during its showcase last night, a host of titles, each more intriguing than the next. Thirty minutes will therefore have sufficed and, among the list of guests, we find a certain Solar ash which reveals its release date.

The next creation from the Heart Machine studio, already responsible for the very good Hyper Light Drifter, therefore swaps the pixels of its previous game for an all-3D rendering.

Unlimited fluidity

Presented a little over a year ago as part of the PlayStation 5 event organized by Sony, Solar Ash can be discovered once again through a new trailer which, even if it does not reveal much more about the plot or the universe of the game, sets its launch date.

Briefly, Solar Ash promises us to embody Rei, a "voidrunner" who tries to save her home planet from a massive black hole called the Ultravoid and which swallows whole worlds in spades. Solar Ash therefore takes the form of a third-person adventure and platform game that gives pride of place to acrobatics and fluid movements.

The previous extract, broadcast during E3 2021, already made this clear to us by staging a boss fight against one of the Remnants, the great enemies of the world of Solar Ash. The overall rendering reminded us of a kind of more energetic and nervous Shadow of the Colossus thanks to its slides, movements and speed.

Solar Ash is therefore expected on October 26 and intends to take us on a journey full of surprises and wonder on PS4, PS5 and PC via the Epic Game Store.
