After being released on all platforms, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim comes 10 years after its release as a board game.

The initiative is carried by Modiphius Entertainment, in partnership with Bethesda. To carry out this project, a participatory campaign was launched on the Gamefound site.

On the Gamefound site, the page dedicated to the board game Skyrim describes it as "an epic co-op adventure game across Skyrim for 1 to 4 players". If the participatory campaign has not yet been launched, it is already possible to follow the project on the said page in order to be kept informed of its development.

The game should therefore launch the adventurers on the plateaus of Skyrim in one of the emblematic quests of the game. The dragons will of course be part of it, being the main antagonists of this iconic opus.

If Modiphius Entertainment does not say more about the project, the design seems already advanced and will soon be the subject of a presentation on Tabletop Simulator. Once the participatory campaign is over, the game will be distributed directly. Supporting the project will therefore not allow you to benefit from any form of preview.

A veteran board game creator

Modiphius Entertainment is no stranger to the Elder Scrolls universe, or board games in general. The company had indeed already created a miniatures game called The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms. It will also be possible to use these miniatures on the board game dedicated to Skyrim.

Among his other feats of arms, we can find games from the Fallout licenses, Vampire: The Masquerade, Dishonored and even Kung Fu Panda. Board games as varied in their inspiration as in their genre, the one on Dishonored being for example a kind of role-playing game. Modiphius Entertainment also took care of the English version of Mutant, from which the video game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is inspired.

The board game version of the mythical The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim therefore seems to be in very good hands. It remains to be seen when it will be available in all the good stores. It is possible to follow the evolution of the project via its dedicated page on Gamefound, cited in source below.
