Will the famous raccoon soon return to service? This is what noises from the corridors evoke at this very moment... Indeed, a new Sly Cooper would be in development.

Launched in 2002 by the Sucker Punch Productions studio (inFamous, Ghost of Tsushima), the Sly Cooper saga completed the trio of mascots from the PS2 era along with Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter. In 2013, a final episode subtitled Thieves through Time was released on PS3 and PS Vita. But since this fourth installment, the franchise seems to have been abandoned by Sony.

Flights may resume soon

And the founder of XboxEra.com (often well informed about PlayStation despite his site dedicated to Xbox) went there with his little statement. On Twitter, the main interested party said that a Sly game is in preparation. To top it off, a second insider and analyst named Roberto Serrano came to confirm this information by stating that Sucker Punch is not at work on this new opus.

This is not really a surprise since Sly Cooper: Thieves through time had passed through the hands of Sanzaru Games… Sucker Punch being at this time very busy on inFamous. Either way, it's important to take these details with a grain of salt while waiting for an announcement.
