Scorn: the horror FPS inspired by the works of HR Giger finds a release date

Absent from the myriad of World Premieres at the Game Awards, FPS horrific Scorn announced its release date discreetly in its corner during a trailer.

The Microsoft exclusive developed by independent Serbian studio Ebb Software will take us on a tour of its corridors of flesh and steel inspired by the works of HR Giger in October 2022.

Exit from the maze

Last month, the studio announced on the game's Kickstarter page that Scorn was seeing its release date slip into 2022. Ebb Software took the opportunity to say that more details would be provided, if all goes well, on December 10. Promised thing, thing due with a trailer announcing that its intriguing title should be released in October of next year.

Good news for the Serbian team, which experienced a certain crossing of the desert with its title. Five years in the making and first announced in May 2020, Scorn has had its ups and downs during its development. Faced with financial setbacks and the coronavirus crisis, Ebb Software's project has thus fallen far behind schedule, to the chagrin of contributors on the game's Kickstarter page.

Their patience is thus more or less rewarded and Scorn sees more than ever the light at the end of the tunnel of his horrifying maze. See you in October 2022 to have the end of the story on PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass. In the meantime, the studio had shared a long sequence of gameplay on Microsoft's next-gen console several months ago.
