Resident Evil 4: new information on the remake surface

If a remake of Resident Evil 4 has not yet been officially confirmed, hard not to imagine that Capcom is getting down to it after those of Resident Evil 2 et 3.

Doubt is even less allowed when our colleagues at Fanbyte have just shared new information from sources they believe to be very reliable about a revisit of this masterpiece of horror games.

Leak of information at the White House

According to Fanbyte sources, the development of a Resident Evil 4 remake would have started soon after the resounding release of the excellent Resident Evil 2 Remake. The project would have been entrusted to a studio of former members of Capcom and PlatinumGames, with the ambition of putting at its head the master of horror and director of the original title Shinji Mikami, who would have refused to support his studio Tango Gameworks.

After the half-hearted success of Resident Evil 3 Remake, Capcom would have recovered the project and would have entrusted it to the team having developed Resident Evil 2 Remake. Instead of religiously respecting and more beautiful the original game, the remake of Resident Evil 4 should offer some differences, such as the duration of the mission entrusted to Leon.

This would include a quest taking place exclusively at night in order to distill a more oppressive atmosphere. Some characters should also get more exposure, for example Ada Wong in the part where we can play her. The goal would be to make the two sides of the same story between her and Leon more coherent and better brought.

To conclude, Fanbyte indicates according to its sources that a proper announcement of Resident Evil 4 Remake could arrive very soon. While waiting to find out more, remember that the PC version of the title was entitled to an unofficial free HD remaster of excellent quality, and that a fan-made Code Veronica remake of the same ilk as that of Resident Evil 2 will not should be out soon.
