This week, Quantic Dream has chosen to publish a press release in order to provide an update on its news. The Spanish studio also sheds light on its future by mentioning in particular its projects in production.

Since the launch of Detroit: Become Human in April 2018, director David Cage and his teams have not released a new game. Quantic Dream's 229 employees have still been busy in recent months with the opening of a second studio based in Montreal and the (complicated) development of Star Wars Eclipse.

Things are moving at Quantic

First of all, the studio communicated some figures including the sales of Detroit: Become Human which exceed 6,5 million copies worldwide on PS4 and PC. In 2021, Quantic Dream also recorded a net profit of 5,8 million euros as well as a 50% increase in its overall workforce. It is in a way a response addressed to journalists and insiders who explained that the studio was having difficulty recruiting new talent.

Finally, the press release confirms that Quantic Dream is currently working on three different projects. We already know about Star Wars Eclipse but the other two have yet to be announced. According to some indiscretions, a game inspired by the demo The Dark Sorcerer and a title designed for mobile media would be in preparation.
