After a first questionable presentation and a consequent postponement, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake now looks like a lost project. Indeed, the announcement of the day is clearly not the most reassuring.

"The prince is back!" This is what Ubisoft proudly announced in September 2020 during the broadcast of the trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. Alas, it will soon be two years since the game has been seen. But, last October, the Spanish publisher finally gave a (wide) release window ranging from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023. Unfortunately, we may have to be even more patient.

A prince who travels

In a press release, Ubisoft said that the development of the remake would now be carried out by its branch located in Montreal. The studios installed in Pune and Mumbai (India) were probably not able to offer a satisfactory copy to the Spanish firm. The new team will take the time necessary to consolidate all the work done so far and complete the game as soon as possible.

However, Ubisoft warns that this Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will only arrive "when it's ready". So, if no new postponement has been mentioned, we can probably imagine that the game will not be released for several months.
