Pokémon Unite is available on Nintendo Switch today

Nintendo is proud to release the first Pokémon today as a 5-on-5 strategy battle game.

While waiting for its arrival on mobiles at the start of the school year, Pokémon Unite is available now on Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Unite is today!

It's the big day for Trainers everywhere, today is the launch of the new Pokémon Unite, which Nintendo calls "the first 5v5 strategic battle game in the series". A game to download for free from the Nintendo Switch eShop and which requires no subscription to play.

Remember that this is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), developed by TiMi Studios (Arena of Valor, Call of Duty Mobile), and that the first players will be able to enjoy Zeraora for free (until August 31). A rather special Pokémon therefore, since it will be a question of participating in team fights in battle arenas. Of course, Pokémon requires, it will be necessary to capture new creatures and make them evolve, to defeat ever more powerful opponents.

For the record, Pokémon Unite will not be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, since the game will also arrive on mobiles from the start of the school year. Note that it will be cross-platform and will thus allow Nintendo Switch and mobile players to compete. Free-to-play requires, this Pokémon Unite will also be full of items and other bonuses to buy directly via the game store.
