Pokémon: several announcements planned this week

This week will be Pokémon Day (or Pokémon Day). During this event, we should be entitled to several more or less important announcements. It remains to be seen what it will be…

After the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus last month, Game Freak's infamous saga has no new games on the horizon just yet. An “anomaly” which will potentially be erased this week during an annual gathering orchestrated by The Pokémon Company. Indeed, fans of the franchise can prepare for a big Pokémon Day!

Only reheated?

This event is spread over the whole week since it begins on Monday February 21 and will end on February 27, 2022. During this period, an announcement will be communicated each day. According to the Japanese Twitter account of the saga, five games will be honored. This list includes Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon Café Mix, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon GO. Music specially concocted for the 25th anniversary of the series will also be revealed.

Which only leaves us room for a bigger announcement. Some are simply hoping for the official release of the new versions and others are waiting for news of the second Detective Pikachu game which is still in development. As for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it's surprisingly absent from Pokémon Day.
