At the end of February 2021, Nintendo organized a “Pokemon Presents” event around two major announcements: the remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, as well as a new game in the history of the Pokémon franchise, namely Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Mocked by some of the players for his technique, many fans have nevertheless been attracted by his universe and son gameplay.



Now available for almost a week, if we do not take into account the leaks prior to its launch, the semi-open-world Pokémon Legends: Arceus has indeed convinced players and the press, according to the Metacritic site.

A score unmatched for more than a decade!

To say that Pokémon Legends: Arceus was expected at the turn is an understatement, but it finally gets away with the honors because its critical reception, both on the side of the press and players, is up to the challenge taken up by the teams. from The Pokemon Company and Game Freak.

During the last decade, the Pokémon games have managed to repeat nice critical successes from the side of the press. As listed by the Metacritic site, each of them easily reached the score of 80 out of 100, but it is on the user rating side that everything is played.

At present, Pokémon Legends: Arceus peaks at a user rating, based on more than 1850 reviews, of 81 out of 100. To find such an average, you have to go back to the release of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver on DS. in March 2010.


Thanks to this unique formula, fans seem to be gradually reconciling with the Pokémon franchise while the games released on Switch have left them skeptical.
