Despite some bad buzz ahead of its launch, the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a cardboard.
The game even has the luxury of achieving the best launch of the license on Switch.
Pokémon Arceus sets a Nintendo Switch record
It was through a tweet that Nintendo of America confirmed the excellent start of the new Pokémon Legends: Arceus on Switch. The game available since January 28 has indeed just crossed the milestone of 6,5 million copies sold worldwide, in just one week.
For the little anecdote, this new episode, available in a single and unique version, has the luxury of rising to the height of tandems such as Pokémon Gold/Silver or the recent Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl in the ranking of the best Pokemon game launches. A new Pokémon that has particularly shone in Japan, with no less than 1,42 million physical copies sold, for a total of around 2 million (taking into account digital sales via the eShop).
The game should logically settle in second position in the ranking of the best launches on Nintendo Switch, behind Animal Crossing: New Horizons and its 11,7 million sales in 11 days. It is of course the best launch of the license to date on the Nintendo console.
