In 2010, Red Dead Redemption first of the name welcomed an exceptional extension called Undead Nightmare.

Eleven years later, its monumental successor Red Dead Redemption 2 is adorned with an extremely faithful adaptation in the vast open world of the game, courtesy of a single modder!

The dead ain't restin' tonight

As a reminder, Undead Nightmare was a spin-off of the adventures of John Marston offering an alternative story to that of the original game. Our redemption-seeking outlaw witnesses a strange affliction turning his loved ones into brain-hungry creatures. He therefore sets off in search of a cure through the wild west, in an atmosphere that is both horribly dark and oddly second-degree.

Entitled Undead Nightmare II - Origins, the mod created by RichardHertz intends to give a second wind to this mythical spin-off by taking up all the elements that made it successful on Red Dead Redemption 2. In place of Arthur Morgan, c On the other hand, it is John Martson who returns to service, but in the form of the living dead. Able to be sumptuous, as evidenced by a video from Digital Dreams, the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 here takes on particularly dark and sinister tones, the cities and countryside being in the grip of the zombie apocalypse.

To enjoy this delicious atmosphere worthy of a horror game, you must unfortunately of course have the PC version and first install Lenny's Mod Loader and Project New Austin: 1907. All the instructions can be found on the Nexus Mods page of the Undead Nightmare II - Origins mod, cited in source below.
