Play as Odin in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök, the new paid DLC

Ubisoft had given us an appointment this evening to discover (or rather confirm the rumours) L'Aube du Ragnarök. This is the new additional content that will once again extend the lifespan already a consequence ofAssassin's Creed Valhalla.

Much more inspired by Norse mythology than the previous DLCs The Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris were, this additional content, priced at 39,99 euros and whose release is set for March 10, 2022, will put you in the shoes of a little guy who deserves to be known: Odin.

Odin gosh

The dwarven kingdom of Svartalfheim has fallen to the combined assaults of invaders of ice and flame. And with him, Odin's son, Baldr, was taken prisoner by Surtr himself. Here is in a few words the common thread of this extension, described by Ubisoft as being the most ambitious ever designed for the Assassin's Creed franchise.

Too bad for you then, if you found the passages to Jotunheim and Asgard a bit long in the original game. Because this new script section will put both feet in the dish of Nordic mythology, letting you once again embody the god of knowledge Odin.

On the menu of this copious DLC: a gigantic new area, but also many divine powers to tame and as many new bosses to defeat with your spear. According to rumors, this content pack could add no less than 40 hours of play to a title which, including previous DLCs, already has more than a hundred hours of play to see the end of it.

Note that, for the moment, we still do not know if Season Pass holders will benefit from this DLC at no additional cost or if they will have to re-checkout.

New content for Assassin's Creed Odyssey

In addition to this announcement, which sounds like the start of a "season 2" for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has also unveiled what it calls "cross stories" via another dedicated trailer.

As its name suggests, this new content (free, this time) for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Valhalla will make the link between the last two episodes of the license thanks to a series of quests that will confront... Kassandra and Eivor. And, before you ask, the fact that 1 years separate the two eras portrayed in these games is obviously no problem for the writers.

Crossover stories will be available tomorrow on Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
