Critically acclaimed when released in May 2019, Outer Wilds would be preparing to return through a DLC named Echoes Of The Eye. At least, that's what its presence in the archives of Steam.
A first leak which then spread on Twitter until it reached the ears of Annapurna Interactive, the game's publisher, who jumped at the chance to playfully maintain the mystery. A reaction that Mobius Digital, the studio behind the game, did not miss either.

summer in the stars
During the Nintendo Direct last February, Annapurna Interactive announced that the indie pearl created by Mobius Digital would be released in the summer of 2021 on Switch. The opportunity for many players to finally discover the universe and the time loops of Outer Wilds. An exit which could well be accompanied by the launch of this enigmatic additional content.
With its relatively evocative title, this Outer Wilds DLC should put us back at the center of the game's initial quest and reveal more to us. Thus, "Echoes Of The Eye" seems to refer to the famous "Eye of the Universe", a major element, shrouded in mystery, which guides our entire journey in the Outer Wilds galaxy. As a reminder, in the main adventure, the objective is in particular to understand what happened to the previous expedition which tried to reach the Eye.
Only spotted from the SteamDB site, dated April 28, this new extension should benefit from formalization very soon.
