La saga Oddworld, soon to be 24 years old, offered us last April a new episode which is intended as a reinterpretation of the second part released in 1998. Launched only on Sony consoles and on PC, Oddworld: Soulstorm prepares its arrival on new media.
The announcement was made yesterday by Oddworld development studio Inhabitants. The studio is joining forces with Microids in particular for the release of this new component, in a dematerialized but also physical version, on Microsoft consoles.

Xbox gamers join the ranks of the revolution
Like Abe, Oddworld: Soulstorm had to go a very long way, punctuated by updates, before arriving at a version that all the teams are proud of. Xbox players can therefore be delighted to have this improved version from its launch.
This formalization in good and due form also confirms the rumors around the probable arrival of the game on the Xbox ecosystem. Two months ago, the ESRB, the classification body for American games โ the equivalent of our PEGI โ had somewhat spilled the beans by showing the game in its listing.
There is therefore no longer any doubt, the direct sequel to Oddworld: New'n'Tasty, released in 2014, is coming to Xbox platforms, and to make it even more concrete, the game's Twitter account has accompanied the announcement of a trailer where we can notice the famous green halo of the brand.
For the moment, no release date has been communicated but new information should be announced soon about the port to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. In the same way, the subject of possible future updates of the game should also be mentioned.
